Captain Robert Orr's Account, 1781.

The collection contains the photocopy of the typescript transcription of Robert Orr's account of the Lochry Expedition in 1781; his captivity by Indians and the British, 1781-1783; his return to Hanna's Town, Pa. 1883; the burning of Hanna's Town, 1882; and other post-war military service. It also includes information about George Rogers Clark, Joseph Brant, Henry Hamilton, frontier spies, and various aspects of Indian life and culture. The typescript was taken from the Draper manuscript, vol. 6, series NN, pp. 163-185.
